We're In Contract

I can't believe after almost a year of dreaming of this day...we'll our whole lives really, Aaron and I are going to be home owners!!

Can you believe it? I still can't.  We often find ourselves whispering to each other. "Guess what?"  "What?" He says.  "We're gonna have a HOUSE!!" I'll say.  Then we just smile and act all giddy.

This process of deciding to build our dream home has not been easy but I believe in the end it will all be worth it.  The tight quarters we are living in right now has most certainly made use appreciate the desire and need of space for our sanity.  There is nothing like sharing a cramped bathroom space every morning making getting ready in the mornings "entertaining" to say the least.

I also must admit I have learned a lot about myself living with my mother in law.  I for one have learned to be patient.  This is not an easy task for me.  I also have learned to let it go.  Little things that normally would drive me insane I just brush aside and tell myself this is temporary.  Most of my friends don't understand how Aaron and I have managed but to be honest, it's really not that bad.  We are just taking everything day by day, and one step at a time.  Mostly we are just grateful that his mom opened her home to us so that we can make our dream come true and for that we are most thankful and blessed.

This week we drop off our chunk of earnest money to get the ball rolling on everything from the house steak out to our color appointment, which I'm looking most forward too.

Seems everything is smooth sailing so far.  I have to admit I think dad had a little say to the man upstairs for this amazing opportunity to build our house and for that I am thankful everyday.

Stay tuned for whats to come!!

1st Etsy Order

I finally did it!! Finally, after nearly 8 months of having an etsy website and forking over the listing fees every few months with no bites I finally, finally had an order placed!!

That being said with all of the craziness going on in our family I have been chopping at the bit to get the order done. However, its turning out just lovely and I am sure the bride will love her lavender pomander balls.  She is doing the same color scheme that Aaron and I did and chose to do the same lavender pomanders with white ribbon.  I am hoping to finish this order up tonight so I can ship it out tomorrow before we head to NY.

I also just had another order placed yesterday for some boutonniers'.  Its funny how once you get that one order things start to happen.  I really hope that is what is going on.  I think I need to place a few more ad's on E-bay and craigslist to really get the word out, maybe do a few craft shows perhaps.

So if you have time stop by and add me as a favorite and pass along my info to your friends.

The best part about all of this is that in a few more months I will have my very own craft room with lots of space to create even more beautiful blooms.

More to come on that later!!
